Check out document

Documents that you discarded in Main//Pyrus can be edited. The requirement is that those documents have a native file and you own the permission to access the native file.


To edit a document, you have to check it out of the system to edit it locally. Just after checking in the document (with or without editing it) it is again accessible to edit. That’s how we proof that the document couldn’t be edited by more than one people at the same time. Checked out documents are just readable for the other users.

To check out a document for altering you have to select the document you want to edit and click at the symbol in toolbar. Alternative you can bring it up through menu:


Documents >> alter >> check out for altering


After altering the document you can check it in again through menu points “check in altered

Or “check in without modification“ to make the file accessible for other users again. If you choose “check in altered“ a new document will be created and the old one will be received.


All documents you checked out will be shown in a special list named “in modification“. So you can see really fast which documents you’re editing at the moment and which cannot be altered by other persons.
