Onscreen element tool bar

The buttons of the toolbar contain tooltips. If you put the cursor over one of these buttons, you can see his operations. Single operations could be activated and respectively deactivated, depending on the display content.

Add new document

Starts the dialogue to add a document into the Main//Pyrus workspace. It could be specified every necessary document and filing informations (title, document class, permissions etc.). After uploading the document, the Main//Pyrus server generates automatically a preview for the document and, if needed, some other file formats (PDF, TIF...)

Check document out

Saves the selected document to the local workspace and marks it in the system as checked out. Checked out document are still available to read for the other users. Before a checked out document can be altered by other users, it has to be released to the Main//Pyrus server. There are three requirements which have to be fulfilled: a) the user needs to have the required permission (native), b) the document has to be available (not being checked out yet), c) the document format has to be released for working on it.

Release checked out

Releases the checked out document for the Main//Pyrus server and saves the changes by creating a new file version. To the same time, the document preview and the lower formats will be updated. For releasing a checked out document, the changed local file has to be uploaded to the Main//Pyrus server. After uploading the file, it is available again for the other users.

Check document in

Checks the document in without saving the changes and displaces the mark “checked out”. Now the document is available again for the other users.

Displays the preview of the selected document.

Displays the notes of the selected document.

Protocol

Displays the protocol of the selected document.

Permissions

Alters the permissions for the selected document. The requirement for altering the document permissions is having the needed permission for this document (grant/revoke).

Alter details

Alters the basic informations and the data of the document classes of the selected document. The requirement for altering the document informations is having the needed permission for this document (write).

Adds the selected document to a existing project

Adds the selected document to an additional class.

Create temporary access

Generates a unique and secured link (url) for the selected document and sends it per e-mail to an addressee. The addressee could use this link to access the document, even if he had no straight permission to read this document. The duration of the validity for this access can be limited or can exist for allways.

Delete

Removes the selected document from the document class.

Release

Documents which are not released automatically after creation (it depends on the configuration of the class) has to be released manually once by the owner.

Search

A full text search, which searches for your entry in the titles and in the descriptions of all documents. An entry is necessary, because you can't search for all documents at once.

 

Save search

Saves the current search. If you execute this search to another time, then all documents which fit to the search at the later time will be found. This means that just the search will be saved, but not the search results
